Sometimes You Just Need to Be Silly

This week's been a little stressful as we've tried to finish up some projects before our annual regional meeting, which starts next week in Senegal.

Today our brain power needed a little boost, so we decided to pull out our thinking caps ...

Really, I think it just demonstrates our need to be sent straight to the looney bin...

The Real Story
During our annual meeting, our regional leaders are planning a "Hats Off Day" to honor the hard work that's been done over the past year. Everyone is supposed to wear a crazy hat, so yesterday we went shopping.

Since then we just pull them on whenever we sense the need for a little comic relief. My favorite is Emily's just-out-of-the-shower lunch lady look!

Prayer Request
We leave for Senegal next Tuesday, July 17. Before then Deron has to finish preparing two sessions he'll be leading (one about team building and another on avoiding burnout). I'm trying to get as much done as possible on the church training materials project that's been consuming my time for the last few months.

Our energy level isn't back at 100 percent after our long trip to Burkina Faso, so please pray we'll have the motivation to keep going even when we get tired or overwhelmed. As the hats indicate, at least we're making time to have a little fun along the way ...
