William is the volunteer webmaster for our regional website, www.gowestafrica.org. He's got great web programming and multi-media skills and has done lots of cool things for us already. We are very excited that he'll be using his skills almost exclusively for West Africa projects over the next few months!
Heidi, who is in medical school, will be doing a rotation at the Baptist Medical Centre in Ghana -- the one we visited back in April. (The video contains some of the fine footage we shot on that trip, by the way.)
Prayer Requests
-- Right now we are really busy trying to get the church training materials in final format so they can be published online and in notebook format. It means lots of tedious proofreading, editing and revising. Please pray that we'll stay alert and energetic in the midst of such a slow-going process.-- M0slims in West Africa (and throughout the world) are currently celebrating Ramadan, a month-long fast that's a time for inner reflection, devotion to God and self-purification. This morning when "O," one of the office guards, asked Deron how his fast was going, Deron had the opportunity to share why we don't fast in that way, and what he believes about Jesus. "O" said he would like to discuss these matters further some day. Please pray that both guards ("O" and "S") will continue to seek the Truth and that the Holy Spirit will give us guidance to know the right words and concepts to convey.
