Do you remember our visit to the Vigue village in Burkina Faso, back during our first few months in West Africa? This was one of the places we visited as part of our cultural training, to give us a first-hand experience with African village life.
We shared with you that not one of the 8,000 or so Vigue were Christian, and that because they were such a tiny group, it was likely that no full-time missionary would ever be sent to work among them. We shared of the need for an Engaging Church to come from America to work among the Vigue.
Well, Barlett Baptist Church from Tennessee took on the task of reaching the Vigue for Christ. We recently learned that there are now 13 Vigue believers, including the chief and his brother!
Praise God for the way He is working among this people group, and praise Him for the faithfulness of the volunteers from Bartlett who are willing to travel so far to take the Gospel to a previously unreached people group. Some women from there even decided to spend last Christmas in village with the people, in order to share personally with them the message of the Savior coming the earth.
The Bible says one day people from every tribe, tongue, people and language will worship before the throne of God. Thanks to Bartlett Baptist, the Vigue will be counted among that throng!

- Please pray for the new Vigue believers, that their faith will be strong and mature.
- Pray that more Vigue will come to faith in Christ.
- Pray the volunteers from Bartlett Baptist would have wisdom and strength as they continue to minister in Burkina Faso.
