The Latest Happenings

Two weekends ago we drove to the New Orleans area to visit our friends Chris and Tiffany and their kids. Deron is godfather to their son, Brandon, but this was their first opportunity to meet, since Brandon was born while we were in Africa. They even took us to Cafe du Monde for beignets -- yum! Last week we participated in our home church's world missions week. It was a really special time of connecting with old and new friends and sharing what God is doing in West Africa.
It was nice to be lifted up in prayer by our church family, and we got to share about the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering in both Sunday worship services -- a little intimidating, considering at least 2,000 people attend, but it was fun!

Now we are in Destin, FL, hanging out with my family. We finally got to meet our newest nephew, Will, who four months old!
We'll be in Destin for about a week and a half, which is the longest we've stayed in one place since being in the US! It's been great to see family again, and we're looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving in America. My sister-in-law and I also plan to hit the super-early Black Friday sales for some great shopping deals!
