Pregnancy Update & Baby Registry

In case you're wondering what I'm looking like these days, here's a couple more pictures of Pregnant Mary Beth (at about 7 1/2 months):


We had another doctor visit last week and the baby is growing well and appears to be very healthy. The doctor said she is sitting well for an easy delivery - yay! Although there are occasional moments of discomfort and sleeplessness, altogether it's been an easy pregnancy and I feel very blessed. We hope she'll be equally easy once she's born!

One issue of concern is that it took us 1 hr. and 15 min. to get to the hospital in early morning (rush hour) traffic! But it only took 20 min. to get home! So we are really hoping I don't go into labor during rush hour.

Online Baby Registry
We found a couple of stores here in South Africa that let you create online gift registries for baby items. So, if you are interested in purchasing a gift for Little Miss Meilstrup, you might want to check out these sites:

Of course the prices are listed in South Africa currency (it’s called Rand), but you can use an American credit card to order. The current exchange rate is about R8 = $1.

Before browsing you might want to brush up on your South African baby terminology because LOTS of words are different! Just a few examples:

pacifier = soother
diaper = nappy
onesie = body vest
stroller = pram
and the list goes on …

• Pray for health as the baby continues to grow and develop.
• Pray for us as we prepare to be parents -- it's a little scary to think about at times!
• Pray for peace and energy as we (esp. MB) have several upcoming projects, deadlines and other commitments. Sometimes the stress level gets a little high. :)
