Trip to Senegal

On Sunday we'll be leaving for a 10-day trip to the country of Senegal. We're excited because this is our first "official" trip in our new positions. We'll be staying in Dakar, the capital city.

A lot of missionaries live and work in Dakar, so we'll be able to meet lots of our colleagues. We already have a full calendar of lunch and dinner invitations (yay -- food we don't have to cook ourselves!). We'll also be able to spend some time hanging out with the missionary kids who attend a boarding school in Dakar.

It will be exciting to learn about the ministries going on in Senegal and experience another part of our region. Dakar sits on a peninsula in the Atlantic Ocean and gets lots of good breezes, so we were told to bring long sleeves and light jackets. It will be the first time we've been cold for quite awhile!

We'll be staying at a guest house that supposedly has wireless Internet access, so we should be able to post some messages/photos to let you know how the trip is going.
