Another Jesse Update & More

Jesse's Coming Home!
Jesse was released from the hospital over the weekend and is feeling well enough to fly back to Abidjan this afternoon. She was diagnosed with malaria, salmonella, and possibly typhoid! We praise God that she is over the worst of it, but she will obviously need to take it easy and get lots of rest. Thanks for praying for her and please continue to pray that she'll regain her full strength soon. Emily came back on Saturday so we are happy to have BOTH our friends home!

Leadership Training Conference
Last week Deron co-led a leadership training conference which was attended by 10 other missionaries from around West Africa. He led a Bible study and helped facilitate some of the other discussions. It was a great opportunity for him to get to know some of the men who work in this region. They also got to have a little fun ...

Over the weekend he got to unwind by watching some American football on our neighbor's satellite TV. He got to see LSU, the Miami Dolphins and the much-hyped Manning vs. Manning game (which started at midnight our time, but he stayed up to watch the whole thing!). It was a good opportunity to have some down time after a busy week.
