Peer Response Training

We are in Ghana for a week-long seminar called "Peer Response Training." This training will equip us to better assist our missionary colleagues who are going through crises and other difficult situations.

Heavy stuff! (Secondary traumatic stress -- what does that even mean?!) People who've already gone through this training tell us we'll be physically and emotionally exhausted by the time it's over. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn how to better serve our colleagues who are in need. Please pray the Holy Spirit will give us a lot of energy and insight, and help us retain this really important information.

P.S. After the conference is over we will spend a few days in a Member Care retreat with Deron's supervisors, David and Laurel. So don't worry if you don't hear from us for awhile -- it's because we'll be in meetings and won't have Internet access.
