This week is our last with the HandsOn media team that's been here since January. Today was their last day in the office, and they fly home at the end of the week. It's been great having them here and we'll really miss them a lot. They were so much fun to have around (we definitely laughed A LOT over the last few months), and they did some really great work for us.
Life won't slow down much once they're gone, though. We've got a busy schedule over the next few weeks:
- Tomorrow we head to the beach for a three-day debriefing conference with the entire HandsOn West Africa crew. We'll be hearing about their experiences and leading a session on reverse culture shock.
- Next Monday we fly to Guinea for 1 1/2 weeks to meet up with a team from our home church, First Baptist Jackson, MS. Wahoo! We really look forward to working alongside them as they minister to an unreached people group in Guinea.
- After that we'll be home for a few days, but it won't be fun because we'll be saying goodbye to Jesse (sniff, sniff...). Her term is up and she'll be heading to the U.S. for a few months before returning for a new assignment in Kenya. We're glad she'll still be doing media work in Africa and hopefully our paths will still cross every once in awhile, but we'll definitely miss her around here.
- In mid June we go to Senegal to debrief several missionary families who are finishing their first year on the field. We have to interview each set of parents and also spend time developing learning activities for the kids.
- After that, hopefully we'll finally be able to b r e a t h e a little!

Also pray for Alassane, the tailor I shared about in the last post. Today when he stopped by I asked if he had been reading his Bible, but he said he's been too busy with work. Pray he would have a strong desire to study God's Word, and that the truths of the Word would really penetrate his heart.
