On the Road Again

On Monday we will head out on a week-long trip to the country of Niger. We'll be visiting with five journeymen (2 yr. missionaries) who serve among a group of people called the Sokoto Fulani. We'll fly into the capital city of Niamey and then drive out into the "bush" to visit the girls in the villages where they live and minister.

These missionaries endure isolated, tough living conditions in hot, dry climates. The Sokoto Fulani are typically resistant to the gospel, so their task can be very discouraging at times. We desperately need prayers that we'll have wisdom and sensitivity to know how to best encourage and minister to these awesome missionaries.

Hopefully we'll be able to post some photos and trip details while we're in Niger, but we don't know what the Internet connection will be like. For now, you can download a video about the Sokoto Fulani by visiting the IMB Video Archives on West Africa and selecting the video called "When Ministry Begins."
