A couple of weeks ago we went to Assini for our HandsOn mid-term evaluation and retreat. Assisni is a beach town about an hour and a half outside Abidjan. It was really good to get away for a couple of days and just have fun hanging out!We slept late, played in the ocean, hung out by the pool, played ping pong, ate yummy seafood, worshipped together, and talked about how the semester is going.
It's been great to see how God is working in and through our three HandsOn missionaries. They're building good relationships with people in the community and have worked really hard on their media projects (to see some of their stuff, check out www.gowestafrica.org -- the feature story, video and slideshow currently on the home page were produced by the HandsOn team).
As a side excursion during the retreat, we went to a crocodile farm:
