Our Schedule Today

Before we left for orientation, lots of people wanted to know what we'd be doing during our time here. Our schedule today was typical of many days, so we thought we'd share it:

7-8 am -- Breakfast
8-9 am -- Personal Discipleship class (examining scripture as a group, then personal Bible study and prayer)
9-10 am -- Doctrine of Scripture class
10-11 am -- Personal Spiritual Growth class
11-noon -- Culture Shock class
Noon-1 pm -- Lunch and meeting with small group to discuss culture shock issues
1-2 pm -- Global Security Issues class
2-3:30 pm -- Healthy Living Overseas class
3:30-5 pm -- free time (Deron played soccer, I did homework and took a nap)
5-6 pm -- Dinner
6-7:30 pm -- optional class on Skype (a free Internet phone service we'll be able to use while in Africa)

We are usually free from mid afternoon till bed time, but every once in awhile they offer optional classes in the evening (usually on computer topics). We spend some of our free time doing homework, but we also enjoy hanging out with friends, playing games, exercising, participating in sports, etc.
