Baby Dedications & National Championships

One of our neighborhood friends recently had a baby, and Sunday we attended the dedication service (at the local Baptist church) and celebration party (at her house). Here is the proud mama with baby Samuel:

HOW 'BOUT THEM GATORS?!

Last night we stayed up till 3:45 a.m. so we could watch the Gators stomp their way to another national championship! One of our missionary friends is a basketball fan, so he stayed up to watch it and was willing to let us join him. We're a little zombie-like this morning, but hey -- at least we got to watch it!

Last year when the Gators won we were in a village in the middle of nowhere, Burkina Faso, and didn't even find out the results until several days later. Deron was so disappointed he wasn't able to watch them win. So this year it was really great that he was able to see them make history -- live!
