Today we went to Punta Tombo to a penguin breeding ground. One to two million penguins live here every year between September and May, then they migrate to Brazil. There were penguins everywhere we looked -- in the parking lot, on the roadside, in the bushes, in holes in the ground. Walkways throughout the area allowed us to stroll right by bushes, rocks and other areas where they were resting, nesting, or waddling around. They were so cute! We were able to get so close we could touch them, except we weren't allowed to. One penguin decided he didn't like Mary Beth getting too close, because he charged and pecked her on the leg! Seeing the penguins has definitely been a highlight of our trip.
