Home in Esquel

Yesterday after viewing the whales we drove from Puerto Madryn to Esquel, where Deron's parents live. It was another long, tiring trip that lasted about seven hours (but most of it was on paved roads). While some of the landscape was flat and barren, similar to what we saw in other areas of the Patagonia, there was also a stretch of really beautiful scenery, like the photo shown here. Esquel is a pretty town surrounded by snowcapped mountains. We'll be here till next Tuesday, and we'll spend most of the time sightseeing, souvenir shopping and resting (since we're all pretty tired after so much traveling).
