Yesterday evening we arrived in Virginia for our missionary training. We are based at a conference center where we will be living, eating, sleeping, and training for the next 7 weeks. Today is a "get settled in" day -- the only class we had was a brief introduction to health issues. This afternoon we have an appointment to find out what shots and immunizations we will need to get while we're here. Considering we're going to Africa, we assume we'll need a lot!
We are living in a quad with several other people. We have our own bedroom, bathroom, laudry facilities and kitchen, but we share a living room with several other families and singles. We thought we would be sharing a quad with the other missionaries going to West Africa, but instead we are with an assortment of people going to various places.
